| About Rege
Rege's formal teaching career began in 1983 when he was contacted by the United States Polo Training Foundation to conduct the Virginia Polo Clinic at the University of Virginia. This has been an annual event ever since and, over the years, the data has shown that 35% of the students of the Virginia Polo Clinic become active polo playing members of the U.S.P.A.
During the spring and summer he travels to Canada, England, Germany, France and all over the United States giving private polo clinics and coaching. Rege coached the 26-goal Isla Carroll Team (Memo and Carlos Gracida, John Goodman) to victory in the 1999 Gold Cup Tournament in West Palm Beach, Florida. . In August, 1998 he was the coach of the U.S. Team which competed in the F.I.P. World Championship Tournament in Santa Barbara, California.
In addition to Rege's teachings he also is a contributing writer to Polo Magazine and Polo Quarterly International. He is currently editing his recent book, Polo Priorities. He is also a member of the United States Polo Association's Arena Committee.
